Mentioned above is a map of my state of Connecticut, a history of Connecticut and why it is the Constitution state, Nutmeg state, and the Yankee state. I also want to mention that if it was not for Connecticut coming up with the what we know as the Connecticut Compromise (where both the big states & small states like Connecticut both can vote for the President),New Jersey (came up with a New Jersey plan that only benefited small states like New Jersey on voting for the president) & Virginia (came up with a Virginia plan that only benefited large states like Virginia on voting for the President) till this day would still be bickering over who would vote for the President. Also I want all of my readers to understand that a lot of people from Connecticut like myself live in the richest state in the US but don't be fooled that everyone in Connecticut is rich because that is not all true. The rough & poor parts of Connecticut are the following inner cities: Hartford (which is where
I lived for 14 years), Middletown, New Britain, Bridgeport, New Haven, and Waterbury. Connecticut's neighbors are Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York. Connecticut is a small state with a lot of great Colleges both Community Colleges & Universities. Connecticut is a blue liberal state that used to be moderate but have been a lot more left-wing since the early 2000's. All the conservatives who are here like me, all we can do is pray that the right official & judge get put in office.
I want to mention some attractions to those who are not from CT. I want to encourage you if you plan on putting CT on your map to visit or even move here some great places to go to is the Wadsworth Atheneum in Downtown Hartford, Mystic Seaport & Mystic Aquarium in Mystic and there are even great places to visit in the rough & poor parts of CT mentioned above because they are constantly building and adding in the inner cities that have high crime rates. We are on Eastern Standard Time Zone so we are an hour ahead Central Standard Time, 2 hours ahead Mountain Standard Time, 3 hours ahead Pacific Time Zone, 4 hours ahead of Alaska Time, and 6 hours ahead of Hawaii Time. Wow, I said a mouth full. We are from the East Coast so we use a lot of slang being from up North. Most of us love seafood but we love diverse food. I hope all of my readers enjoy!
