Russell transforms its community

I've been to this library twice both times to participate in the Library Passport. Basically you go to Wintonbury Branch or Prosser Public Library in Bloomfield who issues the Library Passport and when you show your library card you get your passport stamped and they give you a list of libraries participating in the library passport and once you get stamped the different libraries (as well as your library) gives you what is being offered. For example a pen, pencil, a bookmark, water bottle, etc, are some of the things they may have to offer. The key is to visit as many libraries as you can for a month and then once it's all over you have a chance to win a $150 Visa gift card (for adults) or $100 Visa gift card (for children if you have any children participating) and all of the library passports I do believe go to New Milford Public library where they do a drawing to see who are the winners. I said a mouth full. I've been to the Russell Library in Middletown and I can't believe that I never been there when I was a student at Capital Community College. This library is on Broad Street off of Court Street which is off of Main Street in Middletown. I was trying to look for the advertisement about "Where is your Main Street" in Middletown and I was hoping to write about the Russell Library being my favorite place to go whenever I come to Middletown.

Oasis Christian Church political views

My mom & I are very proud to say that we happily attend a church that believes in Conservative values but a church in Oasis Christian Church that is also unapologetic about their Conservative values. My mom & I have been attending OCC for 4 weeks and the messages being brought forth is preparing all the Christians out there for this important election in 2016. All I have to say is look at the platforms of the 2 candidates running for President on what he or she believes. I live in a Liberal blue state of Connecticut where the most Conservative part is in the greater Litchfield area of CT. I live in a Liberal Greater Hartford area and trust me when I say this there are few Conservatives like my mom & I in our area. We've had guest speakers preach while the Pastor and his wife have been out of town preaching & in ministry. OCC is in the process of launching their website soon (I feel led to help them get their website going) and the church went through changes (River Of Life to Oasis Christian Church).

I am humbly glad that me & my mom have a church we can attend every Sunday. The word of God is being taught, prayer for salvation is taught, prayer for any requests or needs is available for anyone, and we have an offering box for anyone who want to give and be a blessing. For many years, after listening and watching great preaching on television the words "Get into a good word church that preaches the word of God!," was what we have been listening and praying and asking the Lord to bless me & my mom and help us find a good word church here in New England. I want to encourage all the Christians out there who don't have a church home, listen to good preaching on DVD's, TV, online, on the radio, and attend church conferences if need be until the Lord send you to a good word church that teaches the word and a preacher who teachers God's uncompromising word. We have to understand that morals and values have to be taught in church & school. The word of God is important and Conservative Values are important. We are fighting a spiritual war and we have to trust that the Lord has our back when we don't waver from our faith. I hope this blesses all of my readers!

More About Connecticut

1.) If you had a choice between the following Connecticut inner cities that you could move to: Hartford, Middletown, New Britain, New Haven, Bridgeport, or Waterbury which one would it be? Middletown.

2.) Do you like or dislike the job that Governor Dannel Malloy is doing as governor? Dislike (Governor Malloy has a 24% approval rate and 68% disapproval rating the worst among Governors). https://www.google.com/search?q=Dannel+Malloy+24%25+approval+rating&biw=881&bih=386&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiMxJOBsqjNAhUIWSYKHZy5DIMQ_AUIBygC#imgrc=Nu2CL6lBFaMJIM%3A

3.) Do you like or dislike the job that Mayor Luke Bronin is doing as Mayor? From what I've seen I like what Mayor Bronin is doing as Mayor. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCc-hDq2x9of1m6JKxYOwQcg

4.) Is Connecticut a Republican or a Democratic controlled House? Democratic controlled House.

5.) Is Connecticut a Republican or a Democratic controlled Senate? Democratic controlled Senate.

6.) If you could describe Connecticut's employment how would you describe Connecticut's employment opportunities? Connecticut tend to have more jobs in Southern & Western Connecticut and also Connecticut's neighbors Massachusetts and New York have a lot of the jobs.

7.) If you were to describe Connecticut's taxes would the taxes be very low, somewhat low, somewhat high, or very high? Very high.

8.) If you were to guess the income rate in Connecticut what would the income be in Connecticut? More people on the poverty line and below the poverty line. People working earning minimum wage and up pay taxes because Connecticut is the richest state in the U.S. The cost of living is so high in Connecticut which make it tough to earn a good living here.

9.) Do you notice on the news the population of people in the state of Connecticut that are relocating to another state? Yes.

10.) Would you say that the taxes is the reason why not everyone can afford to live in Connecticut? Yes.

11.) Is there a lot of work in Connecticut? Yes. A lot of temp jobs. Most of the permanent jobs are in the Greater New Haven and Bridgeport area (Southern Connecticut).

12.) What do you think of the nickname Yard Goats for a local baseball team? Doomed to be laughingstocks unless the city of Hartford can change to be a respectable name. https://www.google.com/search?q=the+hartford+yard+goats&biw=881&bih=386&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwiGrbbsrajNAhXG0h4KHTvBAJ8Q_AUICCgD

13.) What words come to mind when you think of the following Senators of Connecticut: Senator Chris Murphy, Senator Elizabeth Esty, and Senator Dick Blumenthal? Gun control with a passion.

https://www.youtube.com/user/SenChrisMurphy
https://www.youtube.com/user/RepEsty
https://www.youtube.com/user/SenatorBlumenthal

14.) Are you currently working yes or no? Yes.

15.) Would you say that your job is temporary/seasonal or permanent? Temporary/Seasonal (but looking for permanent work).

16.) You mentioned that one of the inner cities that you would move to if you had to choose between Hartford, Middletown, New Britain, New Haven, Bridgeport, or Waterbury please explain. I see on the news about the high crime rates (homicides) daily in Hartford (I lived there for 14 years), New Haven, and Bridgeport. New Britain and Waterbury has been quiet because they had a break from high crime rates (homicides) that normally go on in those inner cities. Middletown have far fewer crime rates (homicides) than the other 5 inner cities & Middletown is under control. Middletown I could even see myself working in Downtown area. Middletown is also ranked one of the best of the inner cities for single parents with children that's why Middletown was a no brainer choice for me.

17.) What advice would you give to those who are working a Seasonal/Temp job and who is actively looking for permanent work online like you are doing? It took me 3 years looking until I was able to find a Seasonal/Temp job & the same way I was able to find that kind of job is the same way that I will find a permanent job. I would encourage anyone to continue to update their resume and add on to their skills and continue to pray and ask the Lord for help because he will help us when we ask for help. Don't be discouraged because the right job is out there.

GE close to leaving Connecticut

General Electric is leaving Fairfield, CT and is moving to Boston, MA. They can't afford to stay in CT because of  Democrat Governor Dannel Malloy's tax hikes. I heard this on WFSB 3 news and WTHN 8 news at Noon.
